A competent grinding media is therefore needed to provide a cost-effective and energy-efficient grinding solution. In this sense, at Valwin we have developed a sintering process for Zirconium Silicate which, when doped with a small amount of alumina,<br \/>achieves a homogeneous internal microstructure that gives our microspheres mechanical properties far superior to other zirconium silicate microballs present on the market.<\/p><p>For high-speed mills, ZSWIN-410 microballs are designed to be chemically resistant and offer exceptional mechanical performance, making them fully competent in the most demanding applications in high-speed grinding.<\/p><p>Zirconium Silicate microballs are widely used in high-speed mills in different sectors. The problem with this type of microballs is that their manufacturing process involves a melting process of the raw materials and during the sudden cooling process there is a risk of generating cracks and voids inside them, which significantly weakens the<br \/>mechanical properties of the microballs.<\/p><p>To avoid this problem, VALWIN does not use this melting process, but rather uses a sintering process for Zirconium Silicate, which is also doped with a small amount of alumina, to achieve a homogeneous internal microstructure, without internal gaps or cracks, and with an abundance of small crystals, which give our microballs mechanical\u00a0<span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); letter-spacing: 0px;\">properties that are much higher than the Zirconium Silicate microballs on the market.<\/span><\/p><p>In addition, ZSWIN\u00ae microballs have a high fracture resistance, which means that they can withstand the high stresses generated in the high-speed mills where they are used.
